Cancer: A lifelong normal weight is the best prevention

on Thursday, 25 May 2017.

More and more studies prove that obesity promotes the growth of pathological growths. A healthy Nutrition therefore belongs to a Cancer therapy and is also the best prevention against Cancer.

This assumption is supported by studies by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). Over a long period of time, doctors from various countries have made observations that have influenced the disease and the course of Cancer documented in obese people. Although not scientifically relevant as an observational study, a significantly higher occurrence of certain types of tumors can be observed in severely overweight people.

Tumor cells feed on body fat show the first results

These include cancer of the intestine, esophagus and kidneys, and in women after the menopause, the breast and uterus. All of these are among the types of cancer at risk for severely overweight people. According to the IARC observational study, these include ovarian cancer, stomach cancer, gallbladder cancer, brain tumors, thyroid cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer and blood cancer. The cause of this is, on the one hand, increased hormone production, which is driven by excessive fat cells, and, on the other hand, increased insulin levels, which alter the hormonal balance. This hormonal over-control is suspected to be the cause of the spread of malignant tumor cells. This is particularly dangerous for women who gain a lot of weight during the menopause. This is because the hormonal changes are then "fed" by the blood fat to diseased cells. This interaction of various factors increases the risk of Cancer This observation does not necessarily apply to women who were already overweight. Therefore, no recommendation for a crash diet can be made. However, it can be considered certain that women who follow a low-fat diet after breast cancer diet with slight weight loss had a lower relapse rate within the first five years. Doctors made a similar observation, which was confirmed by studies, when comparing the incidence of cancer in obese people without and with stomach-reducing obesity surgery. The result: The people who had stomach surgery and subsequent weight loss developed cancer less frequently than their peers without this surgical procedure.

A balanced diet and sufficient exercise lower blood fat
