stress echocardiography | The stress echocardiography is an ultrasound examination of the heart (Echocardiography) during a stress ECGs. This examination can often detect circulatory disorders of the heart that occur during normal exercise.ECG are not yet visible. Stress echocardiography is therefore a further examination that goes beyond the stress ECG to diagnose coronary heart disease (CHD) to determine. It is also suitable for distinguishing between living heart muscle and scar tissue, e.g. after a Heart attack.Stress means strain on the heart. We carry out the strain on a special bicycle ergometer. The patient lies on the ergometer so that an ultrasound examination of the heart is possible during the strain. The movement disorders of the heart muscles are digitally recorded and analyzed by computer. As with the stress ECG, it is advisable to wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for this examination. If you regularly take cardiovascular medication, you may want to stop taking it beforehand after consulting us. |
